Accelerated success made simple!

Sound Start Literacy is a research-based, linguistic phonics (also known as structured linguistic literacy) program that empowers children to read by connecting speech to print. Designed for young learners and striving readers alike, this step-by-step approach teaches the alphabetic code through the natural patterns of spoken language.

Each lesson builds systematically from sound to symbol, helping children recognize, map, and decode words with confidence. With decodable stories, high-frequency word practice, and engaging routines, Sound Start Literacy gives every child a solid foundation in how English works—starting with what they already know: how to speak. This program makes it easier than ever to deliver effective, speech-to-print instruction that sticks.
